What is it about the holidays that makes us all want to run away from home and to somewhere special like the town of Branson? We can’t really explain why, but we know as much as you love your extended family, they can be difficult, and whether it is a Thanksgiving getaway that you want to experience without grumbling from Aunt Gladys or a Christmas retreat that brings your nuclear family closer together, our town and our Sunset Nightly Rentals holiday hideaways are where you should run to. This guide to our holiday rentals will offer a peek into a celebration that until now you might have thought could never exist in real life!
A Spooktacular Halloween
Halloween in Branson is one of our favorite times of the year, offering weather that is crisp, cool, and dry, and trees that light up the landscape with their fiery beauty. As a matter of fact, mid to late October is the best time to see the fall leaves and you may find yourself unwilling to leave the back patios of our seasonal sanctuaries thanks to the views being so beautiful. But when you do come inside to your vacation homes in Branson, MO, a fire in the fireplace, horror movies on television, and maybe a hot apple cider that came from a pod in our Keurig pod collections will ensure that this holiday will be one that you never forget. If you’re traveling with young kids, Branson Landing offers a safe trick-or-treating experience on Halloween night, starting at 5 PM and lasting until 7 PM, enabling you to return home in time for a scary movie marathon on our state of the art televisions.
Thankful for Each Other (and Branson!)
There will be so many things to be thankful for at Thanksgiving in Branson, starting with the warm and welcoming nature of our holiday havens. Bring your family closer together as you celebrate with your favorite traditions while feeling encouraged to add some new ones to your list.
Our spacious kitchens will be equipped with modern and updated appliances, perhaps tempting you to create the turkey feast even though you are traveling. If you do decide to cook at home, though, not only are our kitchens well equipped to handle the load of feast preparation, our dining areas will be nearby, featuring tables with enough chairs that every seat in your traveling party will have their own seat.
If you just don’t want to cook (and we don’t blame you), there will be plenty of restaurants open for the holiday, serving fantastic turkey dinners, including the Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks, offering a full Thanksgiving brunch. (This brunch is very popular and sells out early, so they start accepting reservations in August)
Testimonials
I absolutely love staying with Sunset when I go on my vacations. They always accommodate me and my family every time we come down to Branson. Kaci, Laci, and Candice all pitched in to make this stay enjoyable. Timeless Memories Lodge fit my extended family of 15 perfectly. Thank you all for your hard work and communication. You are the best!
Hook Wine and Sinker was the perfect house to celebrate my 50th birthday. Between 5 families there were 13 people that ranged from 5 months to 82 years old and we all thought the house and location were perfect! The house had everything you needed plus more. They had indoor/outdoor games, high chair, playpen, plenty of towels, the beds/pillows were comfy, and they had extra propane for the gas grill and fire pit. We split our time hanging out inside, on the multi level decks, and in the hot tub. We will definitely being back!
We have used Sunset Nightly Rentals many times and we are always very pleased. We recently stayed at the Bluffs Oasis condo. It was clean and cozy. The screened porch was so convenient for taking our two small dogs outside for walks. We enjoyed our stay so much. Sunset Nightly Rentals has always been so helpful in helping us find the right place for our Branson visits.
Parades, Football, and Tryptophan Naps
The most popular Thanksgiving traditions tend to revolve around the living room. Here is where your day will start out with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade marching across the screen, followed by many, many football games. And when the tryptophan from the turkey goes into effect, don’t be surprised if the sound of snoring is louder than the cheers of the crowds on the TV. If you happen to be the one snoring, there will be no need to fear waking up with a sore neck; our sofas are plush, comfortable, and designed to make naptime restful.
As nighttime falls, the temperatures will drop, but that’s ok, you will be warm and feeling wonderful with a fire crackling in the fireplace of your Branson holiday rentals. Colorful throws tossed across the back of couches may add more warmth, and if you can convince your spouse to relinquish control of the remote, you may feel a quiet joy when you watch the first of many Christmas movies.
Merry and Bright
Christmas is the most family oriented of all holidays, and we are honored that you are bringing yours here to celebrate with us. Our Christmas condos and cottages will sometimes offer their own holiday decorations, but if not, feel free to add your own touches with visits to local shops such as Kringle’s Christmas Shop and Christmas Hollow, both stores which celebrate the holiday year round. Their décor pieces will serve as a beautiful souvenir of your time in Branson while also offering a way to add festive cheer to your temporary accommodations.
Our living rooms will be large enough to hold a tree and all the presents you bought at Branson Landing, and our kitchens provide the ideal setting for baking cookies or creating a Christmas lasagna. Disney’s Magical Christmas Day Parade may be what’s on TV, or you could just be streaming holiday carols as you unwrap presents, put together complex toys, and gulp down coffee to get your much needed shot of caffeine after having very little sleep the night before.
