There are 168 hours in a week, 168 hours that you may wonder how you are going to fill during your unforgettable Branson getaway. You’ve probably heard that this is THE place to watch shows performed by some of your favorite artists, but will that be enough to keep you occupied? You may have seen pictures of the beautiful landscape that includes three incredible lakes, but you won’t want to spend every hour exploring their beauty. But what you may never have heard of is our favorite amusement park, Silver Dollar City, and the variety of rides, activities, and events that are held there daily, including the Festival of Wonder at Silver Dollar City.

Festival of Wonder at Silver Dollar City is April 10 Through April 28

Silver Dollar City is often the star of the Branson shows, but during these three weeks in April, our 18th century themed amusement park outdoes itself, offering a selection of events, activities, and even foods that quite possibly will change your life! Featuring talented jugglers, skilled acrobats and artists, musicians, and pogo stunt teams that awe and amaze, you’ll wish you could spend every minute of your trip in the park soaking in the sights! You’ll also find harpists that will give you a new appreciation for heavenly music and acrobats that reach new heights of amazing.

All of this and so much more makes the Festival of Wonder at Silver Dollar City an event you truly won’t want to miss. And as if that isn’t enough, they offer foods that comfort, foods that fill, and foods that will appeal to the inner daredevil you never knew existed, such as a shark or gator kabob!

Comfortable, stylish, and designed to envelope you in peace and tranquility, our homes may be the highlight of your already extraordinary Branson getaway!

While many people come to Branson for the shows and scenery, there is one group that visits for an altogether different reason; this group is a mixture of old and young, male and female, well-to-do and struggling, but all share the same passion: the passion for golf. And because it’s no secret that the area has a sizeable selection of award-winning courses, we can’t blame the golf fans for flocking here in droves and following this guide to the ultimate Branson golf itinerary; we just hope you take some time to enjoy the shows and scenery as well!

Day 1, Morning: Branson Hills Golf Club, 100 N Payne Stewart Drive

We’ll start at the beginning with the course that has the best 1st hole in town(the 10th and 14th are favored as well!),the Branson Hills Golf Club. Also felt to be the best course in town, not just the home of the best 1st hole, it was designed by Chuck Smith consulting with Bobby Clampett. Offering waterfalls, creeks, and a mature forest area, the scenery is as breathtaking as the course is challenging.

Day 1, Afternoon: Ledgestone Country Club, 1600 Ledgestone Way, Reeds Spring

Located close enough to Branson Hills to allow you to start up a new game in the afternoon, Ledgestone Country Club three of the bestholesaround; the 2nd, 8th, and 13th holes are local favorites at this Tom Clark designed course. Offering meticulously groomed greens and dramatic landscape, this course is challenging for experienced golfers, but is not intimidating to the novice ones.

Day 2, Morning: Top of the Rock Golf Course, 150 Top of the Rock Road, Ridgedale

Famous for its 3rd and 15th holes, Top of the Rock Course offers a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course AND an Arnold Palmer designed practice facility, making it pretty much perfect in our eyes! With views of Table Rock Lake, this par 3 course (the only one ever to be chosen for a professional championship!) is as popular for its challenges as it is for its natural landscape.

Day 2, Afternoon: Buffalo Ridge Springs, 1001 Branson Creek Boulevard, Hollister

It’s holes 4, 12, and 17 that makes a golfer’s heart go pitter patter at Buffalo Ridge Springs, a course designed by Tom Fazio and Johnny Morris. And because it’s rankedasthe #1 public course in Missouri and only 15 minutes away from Top of the Rock, you KNOW your afternoon is going to be a dream come true when you spend it on this challenging and dramatic course.

Day 3, Morning: Thousand Hills Golf Resort, 245 Wildwood Drive S, Branson

As we enter the last day of our guide, we know we won’t be able to talk about every course in the county, but we hope you enjoy those we’ve listed. Next up is Thousand Hills Golf Resort, home to the beloved 5th hole. Designed by Robert E. Cupp, the course is challenging without being intimidating and run by a friendly and professional staff.

Day 3, Afternoon: Pointe Royale Golf Course, 142 Clubhouse Drive, Branson

Finishing out three fabulous days on the greens is our 7th and 18th hole fave, Pointe Royale. Challenging and exciting, this beautiful course offers the opportunity to catch sight of bald eagles soaring over Lake Taneycomo as you try to conquer the obstacles along the way.Missing a shot here and there doesn’t seem so bad when you take a moment to absorb the peace in your surroundings!

As we prepare to turn the page to a new month, one day, hopefully, marked in red, stands out above all other days in the month of May: Mother’s Day. Yes, it’s that time again, the time we take to pay homage to the most loyal person in our life, our mom. Offering unwavering support and unconditional love, our mothers have stood behind us in the best of times, besides us with an arm wrapped around our shoulders in bad times, and in front of us protecting us from the worst of times, and on this day, we show how much we appreciate everything they have done for us. And while flowers and a card are a sweet tribute, nothing says “You are the queen of our world, mom!” more than planning Branson getaways!

Breakfast in Bed

Just like us normal people, mom’s fall into two categories: morning people and night owls. But all moms tend to be the first awake in the morning and the last to go to bed at night, and all moms will appreciate the opportunity to sleep in late and be served breakfast in bed! You don’t have to build the perfect eggs benedict (although you could in our Sunset Nightly Rentals fully-equipped kitchens!); just be the early riser for a change and run over to Hurts Donuts, 1600 MO-76, for a decadent start to the day dedicated to your mom!

Pampered and Indulged

For all those times mom cleaned up our messes, cuddled with us when we were sick, or cried with us over bad break-ups and lost jobs, a trip to the spa is a perfect start to showing we recognized her sacrifices! Spa Chateau, 415 N State Highway 265, is the first place that comes to mind when we want the best; offering more than the norm when it comes to spa services, this place does it all! From the tip of her toes to the crown of her head, Spa Chateau has a service that will make her feel loved and special. The Moment of Bliss Package is our favorite, but all services are wonderful!

Dinner, a Show, and the Beauty of Table Rock Lake

A nice dinner is a great way to finish off a normal day, but on Mother’s Day, only the Showboat Branson Belle’s Captain’s Club Dinner Cruise will do! Cruising around Table Rock Lake aboard our modern version of a paddleboat while enjoying a New York Strip and a chocolate lovers’ cake is the perfect ending to a perfect Mother’s Day in Branson!
