Dogwood Canyon is by far one of the most unique parks in Branson, MO. In 1990, Johnny Morris, the founder of Bass Pro Shops, acquired the first parcels of the property. Dogwood Canyon is now an incredible 10,000 acre Ozark paradise, where visitors can explore and enjoy unspoiled natural settings. The park is currently managed by the Dogwood Canyon Foundation, dedicated to preserving and protecting this Branson canyon’s natural plant and wildlife environment. The park offers several different types of tours to help you explore this beautiful area, so you’re sure to find one that suits you and your group.
Wildlife Tram
Wildlife tram tours will take you aboard open-air trams where you’ll travel through the floor of this Branson canyon, past bluffs and waterfalls, and stop at the Glory Hole—a gorgeous blue-green pool. You’ll also travel past herds of bison, elk, deer, and even Texas longhorns.
Jeep Tours
Not all Branson, MO parks will allow you to drive vehicles through, so an opportunity to get up close and personal like this is one you’re not going to want to miss. These smaller group tours will take you through the heart of the area and over the backcountry logging roads.
Segway Tours
Segway tours will let you explore the park from atop a smooth gliding Segway. This 90-minute guided tour will let you experience the park’s history, some of Dogwood Canyon’s lovely sites, and more. You’ll even get to feed the rainbow trout at the Glory Hole.
Horseback Rides
Experienced guides will lead visitors on horseback along a path that will let them explore old logging roads, ridges, hollows, and of course, the views. There are short hour-long rides or longer rides for more advanced riders. There’s even a Little Indian Advanced Horseback ride.
Carriages
Carriage rides will take you back to a bygone era. You’ll ride through the canyon, past streams, cascading waterfalls, the Hope Wilderness Chapel and more. These carriage rides are available only upon advanced request.
Self-Guided Tours
Self-guided walking and biking tours are also available. There are also bike rentals available in various sizes, so the whole family can take a ride!
