Branson, MO is a city full of fun excitement, with lots of family activities, exciting nightlife activities, and some of the best live shows in the country. It’s also a place to enjoy plenty of free activities that are fun for all ages. Here are 5 of our favorite free activities in the city of Branson:

Table Rock Lake – Table Rock Lake is a popular spot for locals in the Branson area while also drawing in lots of visitors every year who want to take advantage of the many water activities, including water skiing, boating, fishing, swimming, scuba diving and kayaking. Stay on dry land and set up camp or participate in a nearby hike with lots of trails available for beginners or advanced hikers alike.

Moon Shine Beach – If you’re looking for a great place to spend the afternoon as a family, try out Moon Shine Beach, where visitors can enjoy soft sand, warm sunshine, and beautiful views. Located off the shores of Table Rock Lake, the only fee for enjoying this beach is a small parking fee per vehicle of only $4.

Henning State Forest – This beautiful state forest covers 1,534 acres of stunning nature trails and nature studies. An on-hand naturalist is available to answer all the questions of visitors who come to the area and give tips on where to find the best lookout views of the surrounding countryside.

Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery – As one of Branson’s most popular tourist sites, this fish hatchery is located just below Table Rock Dam and hosts several large, beautiful aquariums that contain many of Missouri’s native fish. Families can walk through the fish hatchery together while learning more about Missouri’s natural ecosystem.

Branson Landing – The Landing attracts visitors with it’s beautiful boardwalk where you can stroll along and enjoy the views of Lake Taneycomo. Though the natural views are well worth the visit, an additional bonus is the $7.5 million water, light, and sound show that happens each hour on the hour. After dark, fire is added to the light display for an extra flair.

These are just a handful of the many free and fun activities that the greater Branson area has to offer. Whether you’re into the great outdoors or the big city, there is plenty to do and see, even if you’re not looking to spend a dime.
