Join the International Bluegrass Music Association's bluegrass event of the year - Silver Dollar City’s Bluegrass & BBQ Festival - in Branson, Missouri. The event is scheduled for May 7-25, 2016 at the Branson, Missouri theme park. More than 40 bands perform on multiple stages throughout the park. Locals and non-natives alike gather at Indian Point/Silver Dollar City to take part in one of the nation’s top bluegrass events.
The bluegrass festival features some of the top names in bluegrass, including Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, the Grascals, Nothin’ Fancy, Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, and the Kruger Brothers; this is an event you won’t want to miss.
During the event, you can feast on your favorite barbecue ‘til your heart is content from grills located throughout the park. The House of BBQ serves up a virtual flavor feast—from St. Louis-style ribs and smoked chicken, to Texas brisket and pulled pork. Chefs cook the food using large outdoor charcoal grills and a custom-made, 9-foot smoker. Each afternoon, they’re serving up an all-you-can-eat feast equipped with fall-off-the-bone smoked ribs and 18-hour smoked brisket, pork, chicken, and sausage.
